Manchester United REJECT West Ham’s loan offer for Harry Maguire

Manchester United have reportedly rejected West Ham’s offer to sign Harry Maguire on loan.

The centre-back is one of the players the Red Devils will allow to leave this summer if the right offer comes. He has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and was recently stripped of captaincy by Erik ten Hag.

Although United maintain they will not push him out, they would be willing to listen to offers of around £35m. They do not want to send him on loan and are only interested in an outright sale.

However, their £35m demand plus Maguire’s substantial wages are considered too expensive for West Ham as they look to add a centre-back and at least two new midfielders.

The Hammers are looking to spend the £105m they recouped from the sale of Declan Rice very wisely and are avoiding throwing money around.

Meanwhile, Mail Sport claims that Moyes is willing to offer Maguire a fresh start in the Premier League, though the defender would need to take a substantial pay cut to fit in with West Ham’s wage structure.
