Manchester United’s summer signing RULED OUT till September

Mason Mount Manchester United

Manchester United have been dealt a major injury blow after it emerged Mason Mount will be out injured until next month.

The English midfielder has started United’s two Premier League games this season, playing 85 minutes in the Red Devils’ 2-0 loss to Tottenham last weekend.

But he suffered an issue during Man United’s defeat in North London and will be missing in action until after the international break.

The £60million summer signing now joins fellow newbie Rasmus Hojlund on the sidelines, with the Denmark international yet to make an appearance for United since his move from Atalanta.

“Mason Mount is set to miss Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest due to an injury picked up in last weekend’s encounter with Tottenham Hotspur,” the club confirmed in a statement on its official website.

“The small complaint is expected to keep Mount out until the international break next month.”

He will sit out United’s weekend game against Nottingham Forest and their trip to the Emirates next weekend.

The 24-year-old will also miss England’s European Championship qualifiers against Ukraine on September 9 and Scotland three days later.

United believe the issue with Mount is not overly serious, and they expect their number 7 to be ready after the international break.
