Liverpool plots £50m Romeo Lavia move

Liverpool’s spending spree does not seem like it will stop soon, as the Premier League side is now looking to add Southampton’s Romeo Lavia to their squad in this transfer window.

The Reds have just added Dominik Szoboszlai to their squad, having already signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton, and they are prepared to splash the cash again.

Premier League clubs are all strengthening their squad in this transfer window, and Liverpool does not want to be left out, having been in dismal form last season.

The Reds failed to qualify for the Champions League as they battled with several injuries and absentees in their midfield for much of the campaign.

The Reds are now looking to avoid a reoccurrence next season by strengthening their middle in this transfer window and consider Lavia good enough to improve Jurgen Klopp’s options at Anfield.

The Belgian is one of the finest players relegated last season and has interest from Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal as well.

While those clubs prioritise other transfers, Liverpool is now prepared to make the first move for him, but The Daily Mail claims Soton value him at £50m.

It remains unclear if Liverpool will pay that much for him, but the Reds are keen to ensure he does not join their other suitors and will push to seal the deal quickly.
