Al-Ahli offer Manchester City £30m for Riyad Mahrez

Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli are reportedly preparing to make a £30 million ($39m) bid for the Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez.

The Algerian attacker has two years on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium, but the Saudi club have set their sights on signing him and are preparing to speak to City over allowing him to leave.

The Athletic (via GOAL) claim that the 32-year-old has not decided if he wants to leave this summer despite a mega salary offer from Al-Ahli. Per the report, they have proposed a salary offer in the region of £25m-per-year ($32m) for Mahrez.

Meanwhile, City are not in a hurry to accept the £30m offer for Mahrez, even if it would represent terrific value for money considering the winger’s age.

There is no final position regarding the deal, and much will depend on whether City and Mahrez are eager to accept the deal.

Meanwhile, the 32-year-old is still a key player for City and Pep Guardiola.
