Chelsea have reportedly offered Crystal Palace £39m to sign highly-rated winger Michael Olise.

The 21-year-old Frenchman is highly thought of by new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino, with the Argentina coach desperate to sign him this summer.

Pochettino is leading a summer rebuild at Stamford Bridge. He has already sanctioned the sale of at least 12 players and has added two new signings, Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku.

But he also wants Olise, and has spoken with the player, who is reportedly keen on the deal.

And according to RMC Sport in France, Chelsea is pursuing the desk, having already submitted an initial offer for the 21-year-old.

Olise has a £35m release clause, but Chelsea have added an extra £4m to their bid to ensure they secure the deal for Olise ahead of Manchester City, who are also interested.

The 21-year-old’s contract expires in 2026, with the Frenchman having spent two years at the South London outfit following his £8m transfer from Reading.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are trying to convince him to stay as they want to make him and Eberechi Eze the club’s new face following Wilfried Zaha’s departure.

But Chelsea’s extra bid could push the club to sell Olise.
