Who will win the 2023/2024 Premier League Golden Boot?

Premier League Golden Boot Winners

The 2023/2024 Premier League Golden Boot race begins as the season starts in a few weeks, and many players are bracing themselves to win the competition.

The last campaign was exciting as Arsenal topped the league standings for much of it and nearly delivered one of the most unpredictable finishes to a term of all time.

Manchester City eventually won the competition again, with Erling Haaland scoring loads of goals for them despite that campaign being his first season in England.

We expect other players to challenge him closer for the top-scorer gong next season, and we discuss some players who could also win the 2023/2024 Premier League Golden Boot.

Premier League Golden Boot Challengers

Erling Haaland, Manchester City

City won the quadruple last season because of Haaland and has kept the Norwegian for yet another season, and he would be eager to continue his goalscoring form.

He scored 36 league goals last season and will have two outcomes in the next campaign. He might score more than he did last season or less, but one sure thing is that he will score goals aplenty.

Darwin Nunez, Liverpool

Nunez’s first season in England promised so much, but he missed most of his chances and did not hit double figures for league goals.

However, the Uruguayan has been in red-hot form in pre-season as Liverpool prepares for one of their most important seasons under Jurgen Klopp.

He must score to help them challenge for the league or finish the season inside the top four in the next campaign.

Marcus Rashford, Manchester United

Last season, Rashford was a goal machine for Manchester United and seemed to have found a new lease on life under Erik Ten Hag.

He fired United to the FA Cup final and won the Carabao Cup while finding the back of the net 17 times in the Premier League.

If he continues scoring as much as he did in the last campaign, we expect him to deliver more goals and challenge for the Premier League Golden Boot.

Harry Kane, Tottenham

There is a lot of uncertainty about the future of Harry Kane as Bayern Munich relentlessly pursues an interest in his signature.

The Englishman is one of the best strikers in the world and has been among Europe’s top marksmen since he broke into the Tottenham first team.

Even as Spurs finished the last campaign outside the European places, he still scored 30 league goals for them.

If he remains at the club, Kane will be among the top scorers in the Premier League next season.

Mohamed Salah, Liverpool

Last season was not the best for Mo Salah, but he still scored 19 Premier League goals as Liverpool struggled to finish inside the top four.

They fell short and will play in the Europa League in the next campaign; however, they could have finished the term in a more precarious position on the league table if they did not have the Egyptian.

In the next campaign, as he always does, he will certainly be among the challengers to win the Premier League Golden Boot.

Callum Wilson, Newcastle United

Wilson is injury prone, and sometimes one wonders how many goals he would score if injuries did not disrupt his career so often.

The Englishman found the back of the net 18 times for Newcastle United last season, which is one of the main reasons they qualified for the Champions League.

The Magpies can trust him to deliver more goals in the next campaign if he stays fit, and he could be in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot.
