Chelsea SET to RETURN with £70m offer for Moises Caicedo

Chelsea are reportedly set to offer Brighton £70m to sign highly-rated midfielder Moises Caicedo.

The Blues have made the Ecuador international one of their main targets of the summer, having been monitoring him for some time.

They tried to sign him in January and submitted a huge bid for his services. But Brighton refused to sell, and Caicedo stayed and signed a new deal.

Chelsea have maintained their interest in him, with the feeling from Brighton and the player being that he will be sold this summer.

But despite a £60m initial offer from Chelsea, Brighton have refused to sell the 21-year-old.

The Seagulls value the midfielder at around £100m after seeing Declan Rice join Arsenal for £105m this summer. According to Goal, Chelsea will return to the negotiation table with an improved £70m offer, plus some add-ons. However, they are unwilling to match Brighton’s £100m demand.

Meanwhile, the Blues have already agreed personal terms with Caicedo, with those at Stamford Bridge hoping that Brighton can be talked into lowering their demands.
