‘I can’t say no’: Moises Caicedo admits he’s DESPERATE to sign for Chelsea

Moises Caicedo has revealed that he is desperate to join ‘beautiful team’ Chelsea this summer.

The Brighton midfielder was one of the vital members of the Brighton squad that finished sixth in the Premier League and qualified for the Europa League last season.

His performance led to interest from Arsenal and Chelsea. Although the Gunners have given up in their chase for Caicedo, Chelsea have remained interested and have opened negotiations for the 21-year-old.

However, Brighton want £100 million for the Ecuadorian, who has now revealed that he is keen to move to London.

“It’s a big team, that’s true,” Caicedo told La Cancha Con Majo.

“A very historic team, and I can’t say no because it is a very big, historic, beautiful team. The city as well is beautiful.”

Caicedo also spoke about how he is handling the numerous chatter about his future. He says he is staying fairly relaxed about the situation, adding: “It’s a very great emotion. What guy wouldn’t want them to be talking about him?

“I know how to handle it. I don’t get carried away by emotions. I’m enjoying time with my family for now. There is pressure, but I am calm.

“I am waiting for whatever God decides. He will know what is best for me.”

The Ecuadorian also admitted that he is grateful to Roberto De Zerbi’s side for giving him an opportunity in the Premier League.

“They opened the door for me in the Premier League,’ he said.’I am very happy to be there; all the moments that I have shared there I will always carry with me.

“The truth is this has been a dream year for me. Thanks to God, I have achieved many things, and I am very happy to be doing what I like the most at a very high level and that people are speaking highly of me.

“So that’s something that’s very, very nice, something that I dreamed of, and now I am living it.”
