Anthony Elanga REJECTS Everton’s approach

Manchester United’s winger Anthony Elanga has rejected the chance to sign for Premier League side Everton, according to reports.

Elanga’s future is under intense speculation, with several reports that he wanted to leave Old Trafford due to fierce competition for a place.

As it stands, the likes of Jadon Sancho, Anthony, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Garnacho are all competing for wide attacking berths in Erik ten Hag’s plans, with the abovementioned players all ahead of the Sweden international in the pecking order.

The 21-year-old played only 418 minutes of Premier League action last season, and minutes are set to be in short supply this coming season. So, Elanga is expected to take on a new challenge this summer.

Everton have indicated interest in him signing him. The Toffees, who are assembling a squad that will help them avoid relegaton this season have held discussions with him.

But the Daily Mail claim that he will not be moving to Goodison Park because he is concerned about how he would fit into Sean Dyche’s system on Merseyside.

It remains to be seen if another club will come for Elanga. German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund were initially thought to be interested in signing him. But it appears that they have cooled their interest.

While his future remains unresolved, he remains at Old Trafford for now and is part of the Red Devils’ pre-season plans in the United States. Ten Hag’s men are readying themselves for a run of friendlies against Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Lens and Athletic Club.
